Molly Tye takes over in the Office of Student-Athlete Support, entering her first year as the Assistant Athletic Director for Student-Athlete Support.

Tye comes to B-CU from Howard University, where she served as Senior Academic Advisor for athletics for the past two years. Prior to Howard, she worked in the Virginia Tech athletic department as an academic coordinator.

As a member of the athletic management team, Tye will be responsible for the operations of the Office of Student-Athlete Support which includes a team of staff academic coordinators, advisors and tutors.

She will also play a role in the implementation of the academic support programs and facilities in the Larry Handfield Athletic Training Center, currently under construction on campus, as well as the renovation of the existing Office of Student-Athlete Support.

Tye is a certified member of the National Association of Academic Advisors for Athletics and has significant knowledge of the NCAA Academic Performance Program and specific athletic advisement trends and techniques. She received her Bachelor's degree from the University of Kansas and her Master's from Howard.
