Eric Cray came close moving to the semi-final to lead B-CU, perfoming well while fresh off injury

GREENSBORO, N.C. - The Wildcats of Bethune-Cookman track & field closed out their season, Thursday, at the NCAA East Regional Track & Field Championships. The two Wildcats, Eric Cray and Ron Danielle Williams both competed on the opening day of the meet. Cray missed the mark to move to the next round by just a hair in the 400m hurdles, while Williams finished 48th in the shot put.

In the 400m hurdles, Eric Cray cut it extremely close to moving to the semi-final, but missed the mark by just .04 seconds. In the preliminary event, Cray finished 25th in a time of 52.27 seconds.

In the women's shot put, Ron Danielle finished out her final meet of her Wildcat career. Williams came in 48th, throwing a distance of 13.21m (43-04.5 ft.).

The Wildcats finish out the 2010 season with the completion of today's events, and look forward to moving ahead in the next season with several strong Wildcat performers, including Cray, returning next year.
