Oct. 16, 2009 Women's Results | Men's Results Call CC Contact Michael Stambaugh for more details - 386.481.2278 DeLAND, Fla. - The Bethune-Cookman Cross Country teams came up against a strong field of competition Friday afternoon, as they competed in the 16th Annual Stetson Hatter Invitational, which featured the event's largest field to date. The women finished 11th in Division I, while the men came in 10th in D-I for Bethune-Cookman, while the meet winners were East Tennessee State on the men's side and North Florida for the women. Topping the entire team for B-CU, Alexandria Condell finished 39th in Division I, coming in with a time of 21:36. At 57th, Jacquennee Flowers came in at 24:55, followed by Lashondra Wilbon at 62nd in 26:10, Vanderlynn Watts at 67th in 28:16, and Ryan Sanders at 70th in a time of 32:18. Leading the way for the men, William Cosby crossed the finish line at 51st in Division I in a time of 33:05. Just behind, Marcell Keeling finished 55th in 33:55, followed by Derrick Taylor at 59th 35:52, Robert Horton at 62nd in 39:03, Eric Cray at 63rd and Chris Jackson at 64th, both in 44:26, with Joel Redhead rounding out the team at 65th in a time of 44:46.
One meet remains in the regular Cross Country season for Bethune-Cookman, as they travel on Oct. 31 to the MEAC Cross Country Championships in Salisbury, Md.
