Reach CC Contact Michael Stambaugh for more details - 386.481.2278 - NORFOLK, Va. – Possibly peaking at just the right time, the Wildcats of B-CU cross country picked up their first conference honors of the season, with the naming of Kadian Dunkley as MEAC Women’s Performer of the Week by MEAC officials on Wednesday. This is her first honor in addition to the first in 2011 for B-CU. A junior from Brooklyn, N.Y., Dunkley earned a second place finish with a time of 22:40.90 on the 6K course at the UCF Black and Gold Invitational last week. She was only defeated by All-American Joane Pierre of Jacksonville. Dunkley has finished among the top five in five meets this season. The Wildcats wrap up this week before preparing for the post-season, heading to the2011 Men’s and Women’s MEAC Cross Country Championships on Saturday, October 29 at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore (UMES) in Princess Anne, Maryland. The championships will begin with the women’s five-kilometer race at 9:45 a.m. followed by the men’s eight-kilometer race at 10:30 a.m.
