FRESHMAN (2007): Started out the year as a left field starter before being utilized more in a reserve mode for the Wildcats in his freshman season Collected a start in 15 of his 31 games played on the year Picked up 11 hits with five runs scored and four RBI for the year while stepping to the plate 54 times Drew five walks and slugged out two doubles; Collected one stolen base in three attempts From his outfield position, Hoyte posted 34 putouts and one assist for a fielding percentage of .946 on the season 2007 Highlights: Went a perfect 2-for-2 at the dish against Mercer (2/11) where he managed a double and an RBI while scoring once himself Followed that up with a 2-for-3 showing at the plate at Stetson (2/13) with a double and a putout in the outfield Went 1-for-1 with a season-high two RBI against Coppin State (4/21) in a MEAC contest in Daytona Beach, Fla.; Had a putout in the outfield as well against the Eagles of CSU Turned on the jets for his only stolen base of the year against Western Michigan (3/4) in a win against the Broncos in the Kennel Classic held in Jacksonville, Fla.
