O'Brien Leads Team USA With 4 Home runs In First 18 Games (15-3)

Bethune-Cookman junior-to-be-catcher in 2010-2011 Peter O'Brien, is leading Team USA in home runs through the opening 18 games of their US, Japan, and Taiwan tour of games. O'Brien is hitting .306, with four home runs and 10 RBI starting ten games for Team USA at catcher. Team USA (15-3) and O'Brien continue the tour of games into early August and earned the Silver Medal losing to Cuba 4-3, in the World Championships final in Japan.

O'Brien was the MEAC Conference season MVP and led the Wildcats with 20 home runs in the 2010 season to rank among the NCAA leaders, earning third team All-American honors by Baseball America/Louisville Slugger last season. O'Brien and a host of B-CU starters return for the 2011 season as the Wildcats shoot for their sixth straight MEAC Championship and 13th overall NCAA regional berth.
