OMAHA, Neb. - Less than a week after picking up his first pre-season All-American honor, Bethune-Cookman catcher Peter O'Brien received additional recognition from another national baseball media group, as College Baseball Lineup selected the junior to its pre-season All-America first team. Last week, O'Brien picked up the honor of being named to the Louisville Slugger pre-season All-America team.

After an outstanding sophomore campaign, collecting 76 hits, 20 home runs, and 56 RBI on .392 hitting, O'Brien earned a great deal of attention while playing in the summer for Team USA Collegiate Baseball. He led Team USA in home runs through the international competition, earning him national recognition.

Originally a labor of love and tiny operation in Omaha, Nebraska, College Baseball Lineup (formerly Ping !Baseball) has grown to become a robust, national group whose dynamic membership celebrates the athletes, excitement and emotion of the game. College Baseball Lineup's mission is now even more important than ever - to appeal to all fans, new and old, hardcore and casual, and lift the game up and continue to showcase and promote the talent on diamonds across the country.

The Wildcats are drawing closer to their 2011 season as we move forward to the second semester, looking to collect their sixth straight Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Championship. B-CU opens the season on February 18-20 in a series with Alabama A&M at Jackie Robinson Ballpark.
