Johnson, the former SID at Division I basketball schools Marquette University (prior to the Dwyane Wade years at MU), and Indiana State University (Larry Bird U.), is in his third year at B-CU in Daytona Beach. He was also basketball SID for the Golden Gophers and Coach Clem Haskins at the University of Minnesota in the 80's. He is now in his 30th year of SID and sports administration work. Johnson has worked as a press room/media SID volunteer at five NCAA basketball regionals and two Final Fours through the years. Mark was Media Director for the NCAA's-Midwest Regional -first and second rounds media credentials for over 400 in the Bradley Center while at Marquette University in 1992.

"The past two years have been a big highlight for me to be involved with the 'Cats men's basketball program, setting new school win records (17) at the NCAA Division I level in 2008-2009 and again in 2009-2010. The exciting play of C. J. Reed and the program Coach Reed is building at B-CU - it is great to be a part of the team in sports administration and University Sports Information Director," Johnson said.
