Rodney Martin begins his second season with the B-CU men's basketball program.

Coach Martin came to B-CU following three seasons as Head Coach at his alma mater Tiffin University in Ohio. He has extensive experience in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference as well working at both Norfolk State and Hampton University.

Before returning to his alma mater Tiffin, where he was an All-League performer, Martin worked as the top assistant during the 2000-01 season at Norfolk State. In 2002-03, Martin was the Director of Basketball Operations for Hampton and helped the Pirates to a 19-11 overall record. During the 1993-1994 season, Martin was an assistant with Northwestern Oklahoma State University. The Rangers ended the season ranked second in the NAIA national polls with an overall record of 29-2.

Martin's coaching success extends to the high school level. In 1999-01, Martin was an assistant coach at Libbey High School and helped lead the Toledo team to a 25-1 record and a top 25 national ranking.

Martin has participated as an AAU Coach fo Nike All-Ohio, King James AAU team,Nike All-Ohio AAU Evaluator, Station Master For Five Star, Blue Chip, and Camp Director for Jimmy Jackson. He has also worked for the Toledo, Ohio State, and Metro Index Basketball Camps. Coach Martin also coordinated his own basketball camp for students in the Toledo community.

His objective is to assure that the student-athletes are committed to achieving excellence in the classroom, on the court and in the community. "Simplicity is my select style of attaining comprehension," said Martin.
