Kellen Shervington begins his second year with the Bethune-Cookman University Athletic Training staff. His mother is a B-CU alum and he spent many a Saturday afternoon watching the Wildcats play as a child. The Orlando native is a certified member of the National Athletic Trainers' Association and is also licensed in the State of Florida. He holds certification for CPR/First Aid through the American Red Cross. Shervington earned his Bachelor's Degree in Athletic Training from Florida State University in 2007. While at FSU, he worked with the football team, men's and women's swimming/diving and the record-setting men's and women's track and field programs. He also worked with the Seattle Seahawks of the NFL summer training camp in 2007. He comes to B-CU after working the past two and half years as an intern and graduate assistant athletic trainer with the women's rowing program at the University of Central Florida. He earned his Master's Degree in Sports Fitness specializing in Exercise Physiology and Wellness in May of 2010. Heand his wife Jasmine, welcomed their first child, Karmen, in 2010. |
