Joe Dailey begins his first season in 2011 at Bethune-Cookman as the quarterbacks coach under Head Coach Brian Jenkins

Dailey comes to B-CU from the Kansas, where he was the On-Campus Recruiting Coordinator in the first of Turner Gill's tenure with the Jayhawks in 2010. Dailey played quarterback at Nebraska in 2003-04.

Dailey spent the 2009 season as the tight ends coach at Buffalo. Under his direction Jesse Rack earned first-team all-conference honors while establishing all the school's tight end records. In 2008 Dailey was Buffalo's offensive graduate assistant, working specifically with the quarterbacks. He helped Drew Willy establish a number of school passing records en route to leading the team to its first MAC Championship and bowl game.

While a player at Nebraska, Dailey served as a team captain and starting quarterback as a sophomore. He transferred to North Carolina where he started at quarterback and wide receiver for the Tarheels, in 2006-07. While in college, Dailey earned numerous athletic and scholastic awards, making both the Big 12 and ACC academic honor rolls. As a senior, Dailey earned the National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame Society Award.

Dailey graduated from North Carolina with a degree in History and African-American studies. Dailey and his wife Carrie have one daughter, Stella June.
