2011 Preseason Honors: Named first team All-MEAC by the league's coaches and SIDs...Named to Phil Steele's All-MEAC first team and is on the watch list for the HBCU All-Star game. 2010: Started in all 12 games of the 2010 season at linebacker...second on the team with 80 tackles, including 15 for loss and a total of 50 yards...had 3.5 sacks for 22 yards loss...returned an interception 26 yards for a touchdown against Howard (11/13)...produced one forced fumble and snagged two fumble recoveries...made five hurries and three pass breakups...earned second team All-MEAC honors 2009: Led the Wildcat defense with 71 tackles (32 solo), 11 tackles for losses and 1.5 QB sacks in 2009...had a 38 yard interception and return in win at North Carolina A&T (10/31)...high tackle game was 13 stops vs. Morgan State (4 solo) (10/3) and he had double digit tackles (10) at Howard University (6 solo) in the 21-10 road win (11/14)...had seven tackles twice and six in three other games, including 11 tackles for 33 yards in losses to lead the team...B-CU's defense led the NCAA FCS national stats in third down efficiency and was ranked among the NCAA leaders in five team stats categories in 2009. 2008: Made appearances in five games as a rookie for the Wildcats, in a reserve role...logged two tackles, one for loss...also collected an interception Personal: Born November 11, 1988 in Miami to Tahmayne Sandilands...the brother of Ashley Rogers...received All-MEAC second team honors as a sophomore...was a three-year letter winner for the 2007 State Champs at Miami Northwestern in the perfect 15-0 season under coach Roland Smith...earned All-State and All-County honors...played third base and was All-County in baseball...on the Dean's List at B-CU/A, B Honor Roll...volunteer work at the YMCA...father Reggie Sandilands, Sr. also attended Bethune-Cookman and is the all-time season punt returns leader...graduating in the fall of 2011 and is working toward a Masters Degree |
