High School: Was a two-time Conference Player of the Year...King scored 1,334 points during her playing career at Pocomoke High and was named the Worcester Daily Times Girl's Basketball Player of the Year, also earning her team's MVP honor...Averaged 29 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 steals per game in her senior season...In one game as a senior, King scored 53 points...Her team accumulated a record of 78-4 during her time there, finishing as a Regional semifinalist in her senior year and a State Semifinalist and State Champion in the two previous years.

Personal: 2011 graduate of Pocomoke High School, born November 2, 1993 to Valerie and Gill King in Greenville, S.C. ...Actively volunteers in her church and was a member of Student Government and Christian Club in high school...Was also a HS Honor Roll student...Chose B-CU because of, "the family and warm feeling they gave" and has her goals set on winning a MEAC Championship...when she's completed her education at B-CU, Whitney would like to pursue a professional playing career or work in sports broadcasting.
