MEAC Completes Day One of 2010 Bowling Championship; Lady Wildcats Sit in 8th Seed
 
VIRGINIA BEACH, Va., March 19, 2010- The Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) completed the first day of the 2010 MEAC Bowling Championship at the Gate City Lanes in Greensboro, North Carolina. The eight team field competed in team games and Baker games to determine seeding for the remainder of the championship. Delaware State, the defending MEAC champion, earned the top seed with an 8-1 mark. They posted 7,418 pinfall including 3,763 in Baker play. Florida A&M, last year's tournament runners-up, received the second seed with a 7-2 mark and 7,076 total pinfall. Maryland Eastern Shore earned the third seed, followed by Norfolk State in fourth and Hampton in fifth. Morgan State, South Carolina State and Bethune-Cookman earned the sixth through eighth seeds, respectively. The competition will continue tomorrow beginning at 8:20 a.m. with teams competing in a best-of-seven Baker series. The championship wraps up on Sunday at 9:50 a.m. beginning with the semifinal round and concluding with the championship final at 11:45 a.m. The championship match will be televised in a tape-delayed format and will air on ESPNU.

Lady Wildcats Head to MEAC Bowling Championships this Weekend
 
The 2010 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Bowling Championships begin on Friday, March 19 at 9 a.m. at the Gate City Lanes in Greensboro, North Carolina. The Lady Wildcats made steady progress throughout the season and are looking to make their mark in the tournament to take home the trophy.

Lady Wildcats Bowling Closes Out a Productive February
The Lady Wildcats return from the road this past weekend, having traveled to Bessemer, Ala. for the Annual Holiday Classic, hosted by Alabama A&M. Although the record might not be where the team would like to be, the challenge was definitely there. In the Holiday Classic, B-CU faced six teams in the top twenty in the field. The outcome of this tournament is also not indicative of where the team has been in the new year. The Lady Wildcats have shown great progress and had excellent success in the month of February, facing off with non-conference competition. [+]

B-CU Bowling Wraps Kutztown Invitational Team Play
The Lady Wildcats of Bethune-Cookman Bowling rounded out the weekend at the Kutztown Invitational with Team play on the final two days of the tournament. After opening the tournament with strong performances in Baker play, B-CU faced off with several highly rated teams in Team play. The Lady Wildcats wrapped up Team play with a record of 7-7 and an overall record of 10-8 on the weekend, finishing 23rd. [+]

The Lady Wildcats of Bethune-Cookman Bowling took the road for the first time in 2010, opening competition Friday at Reading's Heister Lanes, for the Kutztown Invitational. The Lady Wildcats of Bethune-Cookman Bowling had a fruitful competition over the weekend as they continued the trend of team progress in each tournament.
