Amanda Lindsey begins her first season as an assistant coach for the two-time Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference champion Bethune-Cookman softball team. The all-time leader in career strikeouts (828) at Stetson University, Lindsey's playing career from 2006-2010 was highlighted by 70 victories, including 28 shutouts, two no-hitters and a perfect game during her senior year in which she finished ranked eighth in the nation in ERA. She also hit 23 home runs, good enough for third all-time for the Hatters. After graduation, Lindsey served as an assistant at Seminole State College before heading to the Netherlands , where she played professionally for Olympia Haarlem, leading the Dutch league in victories and strikeouts. While there, she served as Co-head Coach for the City of Haarlem 's juniors team. |
