2006 ... SOPHOMORE SEASON: Saw limited action playing in only 30 games...Sat out most of the season to injury...Had 19 kills in 72 attacks...Also pitched in 1 assists with 12 digs...Tied a career a high in blocks with 4 against North Florida (Sept. 12).

2005 ... FRESHMAN SEASON: Reina Carson played extremely well during her first year with the Wildcats program ... She stepped in and saw action in 24 matches (61 games) and started in five of those matches ... Dished out 21 service aces to rank amongst the top 10 on the team in that category ... Poured in 75 kills for an average of 1.23 kills per game ... Set up eight assists on the campaign ... Earned an average of 0.57 digs per game with 35 total ... Secured 104.5 points for the Wildcats ... Had her best hitting percentage with .667 after registering five kills on six attacks against Alcorn State (Sept. 17) ... Recorded a season-high 12-kill performance against Savannah State (Oct. 2) ... Also had double-digits in kills against Delaware State (Nov. 18) in the MEAC Tournament ... Also had a great match against The Citadel (Sept. 10) with eight services aces and seven digs, both season-high performances.

HIGH SCHOOL: While attending Valley High School in Albuquerque, Reina played four seasons under head coach John Hoffman ... Saw action at middle blocker ... Also ran track for the Vikings ... Named to the First Team All-District squad, as well as being selected as District MVP.

PERSONAL: Reina Carson is the daughter of Kenneth and Teresa Carson ... Volunteers her time at the Coalition for the Homeless back home in Albuquerque ... Chose to attend Bethune-Cookman College because of the location and environment ... Says her father has been the biggest athletic influence in her life because he has always been supportive of her whatever she does ... Her favorite food is chili ...
