McCormick is a head-smart setter that knows where to make the pass in almost any situation ... Can easily set the pass or make the kill with a quick tap over the net as she possesses a tall, athletic body at her position ... An energetic student-atjlete that should provide and continue to improve with much-needed time on the court in her freshman season ... Will fight alongside teammate Kumiko Chow for a spot as the starting setter for the `Cats.

PREP: Meredith played at the setter position for Balfour Collegiate ... Named as the MVP of her high school volleyball squad during her senior season ... Named to the Honor Roll all four years ... Also played basketball in the post as a forward, helping her squad to the City Championship Finals under coach Les Schmidt ... Was a prominent figure in the Drama Club in many drama projects.

PERSONAL: Meredith was born as the daughter of Marian and Murray McCormick on March 27, 1988 ... Both of her parents attended the University of Waterloo ... Says her favorite foods are pizza and chicken fingers ... Enjoys watching movie trailers and hanging with friends in her spare time ... Chose to attend Bethune-Cookman College because of the opportunity to continue a career in sports and provide a good academic future ... Wants to become a starter at the setter position at B-CC ... Hopes to work for a major marketing firm after graduation.
