Oct. 23, 2006 Virginia Beach, Va. - Freshman middle blocker Chelle Ticeson has been selected as this week's Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Rookie of the Week for volleyball as released earlier today from the MEAC home office in Virginia Beach, Va. This is the second time in as many weeks that Ticeson has collected MEAC Rookie of the Week honors. Ticeson, a 6-foot middle blocker from Seattle, Wash., led the squad in kills with 12 against a game South Carolina State squad, as the Wildcats won 3-0 on Friday afternoon. Ticeson led all Wildcats with a hitting percentage of .632 in the match with 12 kills on 19 attacks with zero (0) errors. She went on to post two blocks (one assist) and one service ace.
