DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - Bethune-Cookman University Head Volleyball Coach Isaac Raphael announced today the signing of three players to national letters of intent.

Raphael's inaugural recruiting class includes:

• Kendall Canzater, 6-3 Middle Blocker, Spring Valley HS, Columbia S.C. Led team to a 22-12-1 finish in 2011.
• Destiny Hudson,5-9, Outside Hitter, Belleville HS, Belleville Mich. Four-year starter and All-Area performer.
• Monica Lowe, 5-3, Setter, Winter Springs HS, Winter Springs, Fla. Led Winter Springs to a 29-5 record and a state tournament berth.

"We're beginning the process of upgrading our talent and this is an excellent start," Raphael said. "We've addressed the need of height on the front line and added another quality setter to help run our offense."

B-CU finished 13-19 in 2011, advancing to the semifinals of the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference tournament.
